Becoming a Client of David H. Lefton, Attorney at Law

Partner in the law firm of Barron Peck Bennie & Schlemmer, a law firm serving greater Cincinnati, Ohio and Southwest Ohio.

I like to reassure new clients … estate planning doesn’t have to be difficult. Nor does it have to be complicated or time-consuming.  The same goes for probate and trust administration — I am here to make things as easy as possible for you.  So whether you are interested in estate planning services or need guidance as the executor of a will or the trustee of a trust, I am here to help you.

How do you get started?

I offer two easy options to get started – both designed to ensure you are comfortable with me and my services. I offer a 15-minute introductory call to learn about my services and fees before we even begin. Or, if you prefer, we can start with an in-person consultation to talk about estate planning or the probate process and trust administration.

Estate Planning Assistance

All individuals requesting in-person consultations to talk about estate planning must complete a confidential new client questionnaire prior to our first meeting. I will send the appropriate form(s) to you when we schedule the meeting.

When we meet I’ll walk you through options you might consider based on your goals. For example, we’ll talk about wills and trusts and their respective benefits. We will also discuss other legal documents such as a Healthcare Power of Attorney, Living Will, and more. By the end of our first meeting, you will have the information you need to make the right decisions for your estate plan.

Estate planning is all about protecting your hard-earned assets and taking care of your loved ones if something happens to you. My job, as your estate planning attorney, is to guide you through the initial estate plan (or maybe we’re updating an existing one).

Then, over time, I can help you make the necessary adjustments and amendments to reflect your changing life stages. So, wherever you are in your life, now and in the future, together we’ll make sure your estate plan is the right fit for your situation. In fact, I offer a complimentary review of estate planning documents, that I have prepared, every three years to ensure just that.

Probate & Trust Administration

Asking for help from an experienced estate planning attorney like me is a smart move. Why try to go it alone when you don’t have to do so? I can help you avoid pitfalls and keep the process running smoothly so matters are settled quickly.  So, if you are seeking help with probate and trust administration please call me directly at 513-399-7526. We will discuss your situation and necessary documentation at that time.
