I am excited to tell you that I have been elected to the Board of Governors of the American Bar Association (ABA) for a period of three (3) years commencing at the conclusion of the 2025 Annual ABA Meeting in August 2025. The election results were announced at the ABA Midyear meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, in February 2025.
The American Bar Association is the world’s largest voluntary professional membership organization. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law in a democratic society. The Board of Governors oversees the general operation of the Association and develops specific plans of action.
I am very honored to serve in this position. The ABA provides essential resources to attorneys in the delivery of legal services that benefit all Americans. In my own practice, I counsel estate planning, probate, and business clients and have benefited from the resources made available by the ABA. Over the past 20 years plus, within the ABA, I’ve Chaired the Solo Small Firm Division and served in the ABA House of Representatives as an Ohio Delegate, amongst a number of other things. I look forward to continuing my service to the profession through the ABA and continuing my law practice, providing estate planning, probate trust administration, and business services to current and new clients.
I hope your year is off to a great start.
Sincerely,
David
